A Laugh A Day Keeps the Pain Away

A Laugh A Day Keeps The Pain Away

Laughing is good medicine

No better way to start the day than with a belly laugh! She thought something was particularly funny. Either way it made me smile.

Snowy Days Make Fibro Pain Worse

The snow is lovely here in the Carolina’s this cold winters day.  It is such a rarity around these parts, that when it does come along, we savor the moments.  But I have to say, that this cold, dampness is really aggravating my Fibromyalgia aches and pains.

So here I sit, snuggled up by the fire with a cozy blanket, wool socks, fuzzy slippers, hot tea and my handy dandy bottle of “Stop Pain.”  If you haven’t tried this stuff yet, run out and get some! It is awesome!

I love that it is roll on, meaning I don’t have to touch it at all and get my hands all smelly.  It is not greasy at all, and dries so quickly.  It doesn’t stain my clothes either. It has a slight medicine smell, but it vanishes fairly quickly.

I was so glad to find this stuff! I was tired of walking around smelling like a medicine cabinet.  Plus it fits in my purse, so it travels well.  My aunt recommended it to me, as she is a Chronic Fatigue sufferer for the past 20+ years.  And the beauty of it is, it DOES work. It is not a miracle or anything, but it takes the edge off that deep muscle pain/ache, that nothing seems to be able to touch. A moments relief from that is golden.

                                     Cozy Slippers For Cold Feet
I had to share these cute & might I add, very comfy & cozy slippers. My own sweet Momma brought these by for me just this morning. I have to say they are my new favorite thing. They are made by Dearfoams and are the absolute coziest slippers ever! Perfect for a snowy day. Did I mention how much I love my Momma? She is an angel.

If I must feel achy today, I have to say how grateful I am, that I am by a warm fire in my cozy living room.  I am grateful that I have a husband who understands. A husband who would do ANYTHING to help me. I’m so grateful for a little two year old angel who makes me laugh all the time. I’m so very thankful for my other 4 angel children, who bring me such joy.  Life is good, life is sweet, despite the pain. Smiling through our tears is always the best option, ALWAYS. Besides, smiling is great stress relief.

Fireplaces make me happy. Nothing says warm & loved like a cozy fire on a winters day.

I decorated up the mantel for Valentines Day, just the other day. I love these homemade heart garlands. I found this idea on Pinterest a few years ago. I have to say, I have used them over and over again. Well worth the time and effort to cut and make.  You can find that here: Heart Garland DIY Oopsey Daisy has the cutest blog. Be sure to pay her a visit.
Laughter is the best medicine.

Last but not least enjoy this day. This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it!
