Hello Dear Friends,
I feel as if I have been away from my little blog for an eternity. A lot happens in eight months time. Life happened. I never meant to take such a lengthy break! I will not bore you with the details of my simple life, but, just tell you that I missed you. If you have stayed around this long, then thank you for still following along. If not, I completely understand. Life takes us down different roads than what we had planned. Sometimes they are pleasant roads, sometimes not so much. I have been down both these past eight months. But like that famous saying goes..’All roads lead home.’ Through it all God remains ever faithful.
Often I feel I can very much identify with that old Meg Ryan quote from that quaint little movie of yesteryear “You’ve Got Mail.” In that movie she writes that she “Leads a small life…Well…valuable but small.” So very many things I do fall under the heading of ordinary. But I truly believe that all of that ordinary will one day be counted as extraordinary. That this small life, is indeed valuable.
As I write, our front yard is covered in fallen leaves. The flower gardens are trimmed and bedded down for the long winter’s nap to come. Mum’s sleepily add a bit of last minute color to the front porch. Our mantel over the little gas fireplace is bursting with autumn cheer. I have so much to be thankful for this season. If you are reading this, one of those things are all of you!
Hope you are enjoying a wonderful autumn season.
